
No matter how you approach it, a part of transformation includes considering the compromises you’ve made in your life that deny you your fullest expression or are blocking you from your best life. That’s fearsome, rewarding work whether you do it alone or with me.
In my experience, what seems to work best for people is an initial 1:1 session where we determine your goals or refine them if you aren’t quite sure yet. Based on what you’re struggling with, I send you material to consider and suggestions to try out… “homework” if you will. Self-reflection and thought experiments might be better descriptions! When we come back together you are armed with more information, new discoveries, we incorporate those and keep moving toward the goals you have, refining and progressing. Life will intervene and there may be new challenges that come about while we are working. Life is the very best lab to work out new responses, and to refine yourself into the You you want to be.
Transitions and transformation are not the same things. Transitions take up to 3 months–that’s time for you to accomplish some discrete task, like get a new job, become less socially isolated, learn to speak in front of groups without wishing for early painless death…they’re something that’s task-oriented. Transformation takes longer…anywhere from 6-36 months. We don’t typically meet weekly during that time frame, although we could. What is usual are set meetings with time in between for “Life Lab.” You set the pace.

It’s your life and while I’m great at helping people transform, ultimately it’s your work and you are the one doing it, so you’ll get out of this whatever you put into it. If that sounds a bit scary, that’s probably good because it means you recognize that change awaits you!
